Select one of the following questions to find out its answer.
I. MOBILE DVR
The default local IP is 192.168.1.100.
The user name is 0 and the password is 88888888
Firstly, please make sure the Mobile DVR is power supplied and started. Secondly, check whether the LIVE is enabled in Moble DVR GUI SETUP→CHANNEL→LIVE. Thirdly, make sure the connection for video output to monitor is correct and the camera is connected tightly to device. Fourthly, please replace a new camera to try again.
When the Mobile DVR is recording, the SD card must deal with very big data very fast. The common consuming SD card like Kingston or Sandisk is not recommended for use. We suggest to use our SD card, this SD card is the industrial level video card with SMI controller, specially designed for ViPRO Mobile DVR device. It supports very wide range temperature from -30°C~70°C and wear leveling algorithm.
The brand Hitachi, Samsung and Seagate are recommended and maximum capacity is 1TB. Further, Mobile DVR can support both of the SATA hard disk and SSD.
This problem is usually caused by the wrong hard disk/SD card installation or the defective hard disk/SD card or the hard disk caddy. Firstly, please make sure you install the hard disk/SD card correctly. Check whether the connection cable can work fine. Secondly, please change another hard disk/SD card to try again. Thirdly, for the hard disk recording Mobile DVR, please change another hard disk caddy.
Please follow below steps:
Create a folder in the root directory of thumb drive and name it ‘dvrupgrade’, then copy the firmware file into this folder.
Insert the thumb drive into Mobile DVR (There is one USB port on the front of the Mobile DVR device)
Enter into Mobile DVR GUI→SYSTEM→UPGRADE, please choose FIREMWARE option, and then press OK to start to upgrade the firmware.
Note: The power for Mobile DVR can not be cut off during the upgrading process as upgrading means that the Mobile DVR system is refreshing the flash. If the power is cut off, the flash will be damaged and Mobile DVR can not reboot up.
In this situation, usually the Mobile DVR system will display two phenomenon.
Phenomenon 1: The Mobile DVR system can not recognize the thumb drive.
Maybe the USB port is damaged or the connection is not good. Please try to insert the thumb drive to Mobile DVR again.
Make sure that the thumb drive has only one partition, otherwise the Mobile DVR system can not detect which partition the firmware is uploaded.
Phenomenon 2: The Mobile DVR system shows no firmware upgrading file. This means that the thumb drive is recognized by Mobile DVR, but probably the folder name “dvrupgrade” spelling is wrong, so please double check the spelling.
Please press the ‘Enter’ button on the Mobile DVR IR remote control. Then you can check the following important information for Mobile DVR system: GPS information, alarm information, registration information, network Information including local network, IP, server IP, WIFI and 3G signal etc.
Please follow the below steps:
Check whether the RS485 cable connection is correct. The +polarity and –polarity must be connected correctly. RS485-A means RS485+, and RS485-B means RS485-
Check the PTZ Parameter setting on the Mobile DVR GUI
Try to forward to the front or back different address for testing
Usually this issue is caused by the wrong video system setting. The MDVR supports PAL and NTSC video system. Before you connect the camera with MDVR, please make sure that the camera system is same as MDVR video system setting. If the camera is PAL system, please choose PAL system for MDVR too. Please go to MDVR GUI→SYSTEM→OPTION for this setting. Likewise, if you connect CP3 control panel with MDVR, please make sure the video system setting for MDVR and CP3 is the same.
Please enter into the MDVR GUI→SYSTEM→CHANNEL SETTING, Turn on the audio function on MDVR, MDVR will record and transmit the audio synchronously with the video.
Note: This is the switch to enable the audio function, but only the frame rate is ≥7, the MDVR can record audio.
Please check whether the ignition connection is correct or not?
Check whether the MDVR ON/OFF mode is IGNITION (MDVR GUI→SYSTEM→OPTIONS)
Check whether the shutdown delay function is configured. (MDVR GUI→SYSTEM→OPTIONS)
Usually the incorrect hard disk installation will cause this problem, please check the hard disk installation. And please try to remove the HDD and check it again.
Condition A: The SD card or hard disk is new. You have to format them in MDVR directly.
Condition B: The hard disk or SD card is damaged. Please change the new ones to try again.
Please refer to below "HDD/SD Card Consumption Calculating Table" for reference.

II. CMS and WCMS
Yes, GPS and video transmission can transmit separately. You can disable the GPS upload and video upload separately.
For CMS, it is C/S (Client/Server) mode. For CMS server, we recommend Server2008. For CMS client, we recommend WIN 7 and the IE can support IE8 and IE9
During the process to uninstall the WCMS server, the system will remind you to backup the vehicle info and GPS data, then please follow the instruction. Or you can go to your server START MENU→CMS server→Backup tool, to backup the vehicle info and GPS data, and you can use this tool to restore the vehicle info and GPS datato the new version too.
Please check following points:
When you add the vehicle on the WCMS (IE version), you will input some information including the Device ID. Please make sure the device ID here is correct. This device ID must be as same as the one on the message server. Device ID is different from the vehicle number or plate. Device ID is the only. ID number that CMS server can recognize.
When you login CMS client, you need to input the message server IP and port, please check the IP and port are correct or not.
Please check following points:
Please check the transmit server IP and port on WCMS Server→Basic functions→Vehicle Manage. Make sure the transmit server IP is correct and the port is 17891. Furthermore, please make sure the 17891 port is open.
Make sure the network setup is correct. Check the settings from Start→all programs→CMS server→Transmit network setup. Make sure the local public IP and video port is correct. Local public IP is the CMS server computer's IP address. It should be WAN IP for WAN (3G, device report to server's WAN IP over cable or WIFI) network, but not LAN IP for cable or WLAN network. The default video port is 7263 and it is configurable.
Please check whether the sub-stream function is enabled on MDVR.
If the bar on the video window is green, but no video, please check whether the graphic card driver is installed on CMS client computer. The other reason caused this problem is DDraw mode. Please try to change the mode from: "C:\Program Files (x86)\CMSClient\dvrplus\providerrmmpeg4\set.ini; open set.ini with notepad and change drawmode=1.
Firstly, when you login WCMS, the system will pop up one screen to install active-X plug-in. Please install this plug-in. If the system does not pop this screen please check the IE compatibility, maybe the screen is shielded. Secondly, please note that the Active-X can not be installed in Firefox and Chorme.
Please check whether the power LED on the MDVR front panel is green. If it is not green, please check whether the power input is big enough for MDVR to boot up. The power input for the MDVR must be more than 12V/5A. Also please check whether the ignition is ON status and the hard disk caddy (if it is hard disk recording MDVR) is locked. Or try to press the POWER key on the remote control, or check whether the power supply is reversed polarity.
Firstly, please press enter key on the remote control and then the WIFI signal. If the signal is -95dB means that the WIFI module is detected by no signal. The normal signal should be from -3X ~ 8XdB. Secondly, please check whether the WIFI parameter setting is correct.
Please follow the below steps.
Open IE browser on PC and input MDVR’s LAN IP address (LOCAL IP/WIFI IP) and WEB port (GUI-SETUP-NETWORK-LOCAL: web port).
Install the pop-up active X
Input the password which is used to access into the MDVR GUI. The default password is 88888888
Note: Make sure the PC and MDVR’s LOCAL/WIFI IP are sharing the same segment and the main storage (HDD/SD ) are available on MDVR.
Please follow the below steps:
Run CMS client, right click on green vehicle icon on left vehicle tree.
Choose upgrade on drop down menu.
Select firmware from local disk and click on OK to upgrade.

GEO-FENCE alarm (PC) only effect to the PC that running CMS Client after The alarm is generated, will not effect to the other CMS Clients. GEO-FENCE alarm (vehicle)means that the GEO-FENCE alarm (PC) is uploaded to the MDVR device and it will be reported to CMS server, then effects to all CMS clients.
Please follow the below steps:
Run CMS client and click on Geo-fence button on right-top corner of the main interface (on top of the video window)
Create a GEO-FENCE and Draw a closed curve on the map, then link to the vehicle
If don’t download to vehicle, CMS client will trigger alarm once vehicle come in/out of the fence. If you download this G-fence to MDVR, then both MDVR and CMS client will calculate and trigger alarm.
Please follow blow steps to add an event option, name it, and select relative response accordingly to pop up window, or play sound! Then for the alarm type, revise event option to the new option.
Usually this issue arises when the CMS license is expired. You can find the new license file in below link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/g8366tq0fkinzwu/2014.12.01liscense.rarPlease follow below instruction:
Default directory is C:\Program Files\CMS Server\TransmitServer
Close the server, copy the licensee file to above directory, replace the old files
Server could be used till December 1st, 2014
Message port: 5556
Web port: 7260
Video port: 7263 (This is the port used to receive the video)
video port: 17891 (This is the port used to transmit the video)
They can, but the dynamic domain is always changing and easily to cause data loss because of the non-stable connection. We suggest to use static IP for transmit server.
Please disable the mirror recording function on MDVR.
On CMS Client, there is one setting on the SYSTEM SETUP menu, please disable the item: shut down the video automatically after 1 minute and choose never shut down.
Please check whether the ADS is downloading the video files with high speed? This will cause the video closing because of the insufficient CPU resource.
Please follow the below steps:
Open IE browser and login WCMS server
Go to Basic Functions→User Manage
Add a role first and assign the vehicle group and the authority to this role.
Create user and password under this role.
Login CMS using the new created user ID and password to monitor the certain group
